PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The investigation into a small explosion inside a Fred Meyer store has led to the arrest of a man on charges including arson and manufacturing a destructive device.

Joshua Hines, 26, was arrested Saturday.

Officers and firefighters responded to the Fred Meyer store on the 5200 block of Southeast 82nd Avenue on May 21.

Investigators said there was a small explosion in an aisle among travel size items on display. No injuries were reported and the store was not badly damaged.

The Metropolitan Explosives Disposal Unit responded and confirmed that the explosion came as a result of a small explosive device.

Police said numerous tips, as well as information learned on social media, were essential in identifying Hines as the suspect.

Arson investigators are now asking for the public's help to identify a potential victim in the case. A surveillance image of that person was released Tuesday.

Anyone with information on the identity of the victim is asked to contact investigator Rick McGraw at 503-823-3797, rick.mcgraw@portlandoregon.gov; or Detective Joe Luiz at 503-823-3408, joseph.luiz@portlandoregon.gov.

Hines is facing charges of first-degree arson, manufacturing a destructive device and possession of a destruction device. He remained in jail Tuesday.
