CONDON, OR (KPTV) -

A 74-year-old man died in a rollover crash Wednesday morning on Highway 206 near Condon.

Emergency crews responded to Milepost 26 at 6:25 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said a Chevrolet sedan was westbound on the highway when the driver drifted out of his lane around a corner.

The driver attempted to regain control of the car, but troopers said he over-corrected and crashed. The car came to a stop on its top in the eastbound shoulder area.

Richard W. Miller of Mount Vernon was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt, but investigators said there was no deployment of an airbag.

Miller had a dog in the car that survived the crash.

The highway was blocked for more than two hours after the crash.
