Sandy resident Michelle Wilke has come home the past two days to find big yellow packages on her front doorstep.

The deliveries are big and bulky, and they have been brought two at a time for the last two days from UPS.

The packages are addressed to Wilke's husband, but the label also had her maiden name on it, as well as her mother-in-law's Texas phone number.

No one in the family ordered anything like this from the company on the label of the packages, Century Novelties out of Westland, Michigan.

“It doesn't make any sense to me. We've never even heard of the company,” Wilke said. “We are actually a little bit worried about identity theft right now.”

When Wilke opened the bags to see what was inside, she only found more wrapped packages. In all, there were 57 small packages addressed to folks all over the entire country.

The entire experience has made Wilke nervous.

“What if they're bought with stolen credit cards or something, and this is a way to say they shipped off the product,” she said. “If there's even anything in the boxes, and they are keeping the money, and able to use us to defer the attention from themselves.”

When FOX 12 contacted Century Novelties, the company said the big yellow bags should have been delivered to a post office.

So far the company has not offered any explanations for what happened and how they got all of the family information.

Wilke said she is worried about being held responsible for these missing gifts, adding that she didn't even open the individual packages.

While most folks wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, the Wilkes said they just want to get rid of these packages and get them back to whom they belong.
