NEWPORT, OR (KPTV) -

The Oregon Coast Aquarium has a pair of new sea lions: Rosa and Catalina.

They were found stranded off the coast of California last year and were rescued.

3-year-old Catalina was not able to go back into the wild because she is blind in her left eye and wouldn't be able to hunt for food or avoid predators. And 2-year-old Rosa is unusually small for her age – possibly the result of stunted growth – so she can't go back into the ocean either.

So now, they will get a forever home at the aquarium.

Staff say the sea lions are continuing to thrive and learn behaviors during training sessions. If you want to help donate a new toy to them, the aquarium has a wish list on Amazon.
