PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

TriMet unveiled their new "How We Roll" campaign with an event to thank riders on Thursday.

The event was held at Pioneer Courthouse Square where riders were able to take a picture that might end up on the side of a bus or the MAX as part of the campaign.

"How We Roll" is designed to give TriMet riders a community campaign to share news, behind the scenes information, and fun stories.

On Thursday, the first 300 people to show up were given potted flowers as part of the Festival of Flowers that's wrapping up at the Pioneer Courthouse Square.

There was also popcorn, cornhole games and more at the event all to thank riders.

"We want to show people that TriMet doesn't just get you for here to there. We're a part of the community, we're a part of the fabric that makes Portland and the Portland metro area," said Lauren Parker, manager of marketing and outreach with TriMet.

TriMet plans to hold more "How We Roll" events to thank riders in the future.
