PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A spice and tea shop in Portland is giving back in a big way after last week’s shooting in Orlando.

On Sunday, the Spice and Tea Exchange of Portland donated 100% of their sales to the families and victims of the shooting.

Stefan Pickerel, one of the owners, told Fox 12 he and his husband lived in Orlando for eight years, and would go to the Pulse Night Club frequently.

They are still friends with the bartender there, and at first Pickerel said they did not know if he survived the shooting.

“After the tragedy, we couldn't find him. I searched Facebook, I looked all over. It took us about a day and a half to realize that our friend was okay and that was one of the reasons that we decided we have to do something," said Pickerel.

They plan on donating all of the proceeds to the GoFundMe page that has been set up for the victims and their families.
