PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

An insurance company donated to a local nonprofit to make sure people are ready in case of a disaster.

A group of Allstate Agents teamed up with Dream, a nonprofit organization that helps people in need of food, housing and other essentials.

They met at Southeast 79th and Foster, and assembled 200 disaster-preparedness kits.

The kits included flashlights, water bottles, masks, sanitizing wipes, and more.

Allstate also gave Dream a $25,000 donation.
