ALOHA, OR (KPTV) -

A man was shot and killed while walking on an Aloha road Monday morning.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office said the shooting occurred near Southwest 167th Avenue and Blanton Street at around 8:37 a.m.

The first deputy who arrived at the scene found a man in the street suffering from a gunshot wound. The deputy, along with arriving crews from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, attempted to save the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives said there is no information that leads them to believe this was a random act.

Investigators said the victim was apparently walking on Southwest Blanton Street when he was shot.

Deputies said they were looking for a black sedan that left the scene heading east on Blanton Street. Investigators did not immediately have any other suspect information.

WCSO said deputies served search warrants Monday night in the area of 126th and Center in the Cedar Hills area. No arrests were made in the case.

Blanton Street remained closed at noon Monday and it was expected to remain closed for several more hours.

Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact detectives at 503-846-2500.
