SEATTLE, WA (KPTV) -

A Washington company that produces frozen vegetables for several national brands is recalling products due to possible Listeria contamination.

The recall from National Frozen Foods Corporation involves frozen green peas and mixed vegetables sold under the Bountiful Harvest, First Street, Great Value, Live Smart, Market Pantry and Sprouts Farmers Market brands.

The FDA said sample testing showed the products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The vegetables were distributed to stores nationwide between Sept. 2, 2015 and June 2, 2016.

There have been no reports of illness associated with the vegetables, but anyone who has the affected products at home should not eat them.

Listeria bacteria can cause serious illness in children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems and can lead to miscarriages or stillbirths in pregnant women.

According to the FDA, healthy individuals usually experience short-term symptoms, including fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
