Clackamas sisters surprised by soccer star, bedroom makeover

Posted: Updated:

Two Clackamas sisters just got the surprise of a lifetime from a U.S. soccer star and World Cup champion.

Eight-year-old Melissa and 10-year-old Melodie Medina were just whisked away on a surprise trip for the day. When they came home, they were surprised with a big bedroom makeover.

The sisters now have a bedroom decked out in all things soccer. The bedding, rugs, lamps and walls all have the soccer theme, and there is autographed U.S. soccer memorabilia as well.

After the reveal, U.S. soccer star Meghan Klingenberg came to meet the girls.
The nonprofit organization Easter Seals helped the girls' father find a job and in the process found out his girls loved soccer. So, they teamed up with Century 21 Real Estate to help deliver the surprise.

When asked what it was like coming into their new bedroom, they answered, "Wow, it was great!"

The girls' father said this is a blessing for his family and he hopes meeting the soccer star will help continue to give his girls the drive to succeed in sports and in life.
