CLARK COUNTY, WA (KPTV) -

Members of a Clark County community garden are outraged after they say a brazen thief took off with their entire garden shed and everything in it.

The Orchard Community Garden is only a couple years old and used to have a brand new shed. Now, that shed is gone, and members don't know who took it or why.

People who use the garden noticed the shed was gone Monday morning. They think it was taken at some point over the weekend.

Inside the shed, which was donated by Lowes, there were tools and equipment, all of which are now gone.

The garden got a little overgrown this spring, but people who use it said plants are growing in the beds, and they planned on mowing the grass and weeds that have grown around them.

Members of the community garden said the theft of the shed is discouraging. They have called the Clark County Sheriff's Office, but aren't sure what to expect.

"It's kind of sad. It's a community garden. Who would do that? I was mad and I was upset," said Kristen McPherson.

"We have to start all over again. We have to ask for donations, volunteers. We have to start from scratch," said Aldona Crayton.

Whoever took the shed did leave behind some paint and some other things that aren't worth much.

People who use the garden are hoping the shed might be returned at some point.
