ALOHA, OR (KPTV) -

The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force arrested a murder suspect accused of shooting and killing a man on an Aloha street.

Roger Gastemum Medina, 21, of Beaverton, was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday as he walked on the sidewalk of Southwest Highway 99W near 72nd Avenue in Tigard.

Marshals had been tracking Medina throughout the area since Monday's deadly shooting.

Emergency crews responded to Southwest 167th Avenue and Blanton Street at 8:37 a.m. Monday. They arrived to find a man in the street suffering from a gunshot wound.

Yusef Sharif, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said Sharif was walking on Blanton Street when Medina pulled up in a vehicle and confronted him.

Deputies said there was an "issue" between the two men, but did not elaborate further.

During the confrontation, investigators said Medina shot Sharif with a handgun and then drove away.

Detectives said the shooting is not believed to be racially motivated.

Medina was booked into the Washington County Jail on the charge of murder. He was arraigned in court Wednesday afternoon and ordered to be held without bail.
