Inmate wanted after walking away from work crew near Sisters

SISTERS, OR (KPTV) -

An inmate is on the loose after walking away from a work crew near Sisters on Thursday.

Richard Clark, 29, was discovered missing at 1:45 p.m.

Clark entered Oregon Department of Corrections custody in March on two counts of attempted robbery out of Washington County. His earliest release date was June 2019.

He is an inmate of the Deer Ridge Correctional Institution in Madras.

He is 6 feet tall and 205 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He is most likely wearing blue jeans and a blue T-shirt with the word "inmate" and the Department of Corrections logo stenciled on them in orange or red.

Anyone with information about Clark's location is asked to call Oregon State Police at 1-800-452-7888.

Deer Ridge Correctional Institution is a men's prison with 644 minimum-security beds and 1,223 medium-security beds.
