PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Oregon Health & Science University detected high levels of lead in some of their drinking fountains.

OHSU said they did a round of lead testing at the beginning of the month and just received the results on Wednesday.

A total of six drinking fountains spanning all of their properties tested higher than the EPA's acceptable level.

OHSU said the six fountains have already been taken out of service and replaced.

According to OHSU, the source of the lead was not the building's pipes but the actual fountain fixtures.

OHSU said none of the affected fountains were in the hospital patient areas, and they do not believe anyone could have ingested enough lead to create a health concern.
