Officers arrested a man Tuesday on numerous drug charges, and seized several thousand dollars in suspected stolen bicycles and bike frames, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

Police said Wesley Ferron, 39, was arrested in a homeless camp near Southeast 5th Avenue and Ivon Street.

Officers discovered that Ferron was involved in distributing heroin and methamphetamine in Portland, and gathered enough information to develop probable cause to arrest him Tuesday afternoon.

Police said after Ferron was arrested, officers found and seized small amounts of heroin, methamphetamine and oxycodone, and other drug related paraphernalia.

Officers also found $5,000-$6,000 in suspected stolen bicycles and bike frames, more than $1,200 in cash, and several small marijuana plants.

Officers are working to determine if owners can be located for the suspected stolen bikes.

Ferron faces multiple charges including delivery of heroin, possession of heroin, delivery of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of oxycodone, identity theft, and failure to register as a sex offender.
