Four people injured in head-on crash on Hwy 18B near Sheridan

SHERIDAN, OR (KPTV) -

Four people were injured after a head-on crash along Highway 18B near Sheridan Friday night.

Oregon State Police said the crash happened around 6:55 p.m near Rock Creek Road.

When police arrived they found two vehicles with heavy damage. OSP said both vehicles required "substantial extrication" to get the occupants out.

One driver was lifeflighted to Emanuel with life threatening injuries. The other driver was taken to McMinnville Hospital. The passengers in each vehicle were taken to Salem Hospital.

OSP said it appears both drivers were impaired.

The intersection of Highway 18B and Rock Creek Road is shut down while OSP does crash reconstruction.
