WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

A Hillsboro man was killed in a crash on Highway 219 early Saturday morning, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and officers from the Hillsboro Police Department were called to the crash on Southwest Highway 219, south of Clear Water Services just before 1:05 a.m.

Deputies said a 2005 Honda Civic was going north on Highway 219 when it failed to negotiate a curve. The Honda then drove off the side of the road, hit a tree and rolled over.

The driver of the Honda, Dashiell Solberg-Bell, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies are not able to determine why the car left the road, but excessive speed appears to be a contributing factor.

Highway 219 was closed for two hours to investigate the crash.
