A Clinton is running for the White House, and Pepsi is releasing a clear cola.

No, this is not a look back to 1992.

The soda maker is bringing back Crystal Pepsi starting in August, saying there was a “huge groundswell of support” for the company to put the see-through drink back on store shelves.

To celebrate the relaunch, Pepsi will also reach back into the vault to another old “favorite,” with a new take on “The Oregon Trail” game, available at starting July 7.

Kicked off nationally with a huge Super Bowl ad campaign, the original run of the product lasted less than two years, though it did lead competitor Coke to release a clear version of Tab.

In a 2007 interview, David Novak, the then CEO of YUM Brands, Pepsico’s parent company, and main person behind Crystal Pepsi’s launch, called the product “the best idea I ever had, and the worst executed.”

The news of the 90s flavor comeback brought mixed reaction on social media.
