Police investigate shooting in southeast Portland, no victims or suspects located

Police on Wednesday are investigating a shooting in southeast Portland. 

Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Southeast 122nd Avenue and Powell Boulevard just before 8 p.m. Wednesday. When officers arrived on scene, they found evidence of gunfire, including a damaged vehicle. 

Witnesses told police they heard gunfire, then heard vehicles speed away and saw several males run from the area. 

No gunshot victims or suspects have been located. 

Powell Boulevard has been closed between 122nd and 126th avenues while police investigate. The closure is expected to last for one to three hours. 

Preliminary information indicates the shooting may be gang-related, according to police.
