Vancouver Police K9 finds $40K during vehicle search

VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Vancouver Police K9 Tripp helped find $40,000 during a vehicle search on Wednesday.

Vancouver Police Department said $13,025 was found in a subject's possession during an investigation into an "ongoing criminal enterprise group" by the Vancouver Safe Streets Task Force.

VPD Officer Evans and K9 Tripp responded to the location of the investigation. K9 Tripp gave an affirmative alert to the odor of controlled substances in the subject's vehicle.

VPD said a Clark County District Search Warrant was written up and served on the vehicle. An additional $40,000 was found within the vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
