PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A Garden Home family is hoping for to find justice for their little dog, Noodle.

Ray Proskus said he was walking his 8-year-old dog at Fanno Creek trail Friday at 3 p.m. Proskus said a woman with two large dogs walked toward them and one dog attacked Noodle.

"I clutched her against my chest to help close the bleeding," Proskus said. "The amount of blood and trauma the poor doggie went through."

Proskus said he reached out to the sheriff’s office, who said it handed the case to Washington County Animal Control.  It reports they would not be able to investigate the case until the offending dog was found.

"I'll really keep an eye even more especially when we approach some big dogs," Proskus said.

The family created a fundraising site to bring "Justice for Noodle."
