Philomath, OR (KPTV) -

A woman who was driving drunk crashed her SUV and injured her two children in Benton County on Monday, according to deputies.

Emergency crews responded to West Hills Road near Rosecrest Drive at 5:36 p.m.

Investigators said a 1998 Ford Expedition driven by 39-year-old Dakena Clinton of Corvallis was heading east on West Hills Road when the tires went off the roadway and into a ditch. Clinton overcorrected, according to deputies, and caused the SUV to flip at least once in the middle of the road.

The SUV came to rest on its side in a ditch on the south side of the road.

A 9-year-old boy was thrown from the vehicle. An 11-year-old girl was also in the SUV at the time of the crash.

The children were taken by ambulance to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Clinton had minor injuries, but was not taken to the hospital.

Deputies said Clinton's blood-alcohol content was .12, above the legal limit of .08.

Clinton was arrested on charges of DUII, third-degree assault, reckless driving and reckless endangering.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact detectives at 541-766-6820.

The roadway was shut down for four hours following the crash.
