Investigators believe alcohol and speed caused a rollover crash that killed a Beaverton man in Sherwood.

Miles McCullough, 27, died after the car he was in rolled over on Roy Rogers Road, just north of Southwest Scholls-Sherwood Road Tuesday night.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies said 24-year-old Kevin Sumlin from Oroville, California, was driving the car and missed a curve, hitting a ditch and rolling the car onto its top.

Sumlin was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay.

Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue crews assisted at the scene of the crash, and the Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstructive Team responded to investigate the incident.

No charges have been filed, and the case is now being turned over to the Washington County district attorney.
