PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Portland Trail Blazers introduced the team's newest player Thursday.

The Blazers signed guard-forward Evan Turner to a reported four-year contract worth $70 million.

Turner, the second overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, played for the Boston Celtics last season and averaged 10.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.

"The money is great, obviously, but I'm really excited about the situation and I've found a great fit to play with great players and a great coach and a great organization," Turner said Thursday.

Turner was joined at the press conference by his mother, girlfriend and friends, along with general manager Neil Olshey and coach Terry Stotts.

"We want guys who want to be here and Evan expressed that very early in the process, which is important," Olshey said.

Turner talked about playing alongside new teammates including Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum.

"Not only are they talented, but they have a blue collar-type identity. That's kind of how I am," he said.

When asked about the city of Portland, Turner said he didn't yet have a list of things to do off the basketball court.

"I heard people hike crazy out here," he said.
