PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland Public Schools are in the middle of district-wide water testing, and the district recently released results from nine buildings that show fixtures with elevated lead levels.

Those buildings include Ainsworth, Astor, East Sylvan, Rieke and more.

At Chapman Elementary, one boys bathroom sink tested at more than 8,000 parts-per-billon.

The amount of lead allowed in water before needing to take action is 15 ppb.

District officials said the testing at all of their buildings is now complete, and they are waiting for the results to come in.

The district is also working on bringing in water for the upcoming school year to make sure students have safe drinking water this fall.
