Police: Portland man arrested in connection to two armed robberies in Tigard

TIGARD, OR (KPTV) -

A Portland man was arrested in connection to two armed robberies in Tigard, according to the Tigard Police Department.

According to police, Robert Marshall Chambers, 54, was taken into custody by Tigard investigators in Portland.

Chambers allegedly robbed a Tigard Dotty’s on June 27, according to Tigard Police.

Police said at the time, a white man and black man entered the business soon after it opened at 8 a.m.

Both men showed handguns and demanded money according to police.

The next day, a Tigard Hilton DoubleTree Hotel, located at 9575 Southwest Locust Street, reported that a white man accompanied by an older black man entered the hotel lobby at 3 a.m. and demanded money.

According to police, both men were also carrying guns at the time.

The Tigard Police Department is continuing their search for the remaining suspect.
