PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A group called "Showing Up for Racial Justice" will hold a rally at the downtown Justice Center Monday.

The group organizes white Americans to speak up against racism and police violence, and they are holding protests across the United States Monday.

The Portland chapter will hold their rally at noon.

They say that at least five Portlanders, mainly African-Americans, have been wrongfully killed by Portland police since 2003.

Dozens of people took to the street before Sunday service at a local church to speak out against the recent police killings of African-Americans in Louisiana and Minnesota.

Protesters outside the first AME Zion church called for accountability, but they also spoke of love and the value of peaceful protests.

About 100 gathered to mourn the loss of two black men recently killed by police and also the five Dallas police officers who were gunned down during a peaceful protest Thursday.
