VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help pay for hospital care for the Vancouver toddler who was badly beaten last month.

Police said two-year-old Trinity Holder was attacked by her own father outside the Sunnyside Motel in Vancouver on the evening of June 28.

Investigators said Kyle Holder, 32, was beating and kicking Trinity. Court documents state he picked her up, threw her out the window of the motel room onto the cement walkway and then picked her up again and threw her onto the ground several times.

A witness, Don Gilbert, stepped in and hit Kyle Holder with a baseball bat in the back and head.

Trinity is still in the hospital recovering from her injuries.

The goal of the GoFundMe is to raise $10,000. So far, more than $2,200 has been donated to her care in one day.
