ARLINGTON, OR (KPTV) -

A wildfire grew to 1,200 acres along Interstate 84 west of Arlington on Tuesday.

The fire was reported at around 11:30 a.m. Multiple agencies responded and surrounded it.

I-84 was shut down due to the smoke, according to firefighters, but had reopened by Tuesday evening once the fire was under control.

A four-car crash occurred in the area, but there were no reports of serious injuries.

No structures were threatened by the fire.

Investigators said the cause of the fire was a passing Union Pacific train.
