PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A group of local law enforcement were at a service on Tuesday in Dallas, Texas honoring the five police officers who were killed last Thursday.

Five Dallas police officers were killed in a sniper attack on July 7 by a black man who said he wanted revenge for recent killings of black men by police.

Six Portland police officers, several Clackamas County Law Enforcement professionals and a West Linn Officer flew to Dallas to join other departments from around the country to pay their respects to the fallen officers.

To show their support back in Portland, the Portland Police Bureau posted a photo on its Instagram account showing six officers wearing hats with a capital 'D' on them.
