KEIZER, OR (KPTV) -

A 32-year-old Keizer man was arrested after he robbed a smoke shop two times.

Keizer Police Department said they responded to The One Stop Smoke Shop on Monday around 10:47 p.m. after a report came in about an armed robbery.

Police said a man entered the smoke shop with a gun and tried to get into the cash register. The owner of the business locked himself in a room to protect himself from being harmed. The suspect was not able to open the register, but did steal a key belonging to it. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.

Officers searched the area for the suspect but could not find him.

Police said the suspect matches the description of a man who robbed The One Stop Smoke Shop on March 20. The suspect in both robberies had similar physical characteristics, similar clothing and a similar handgun, according to police.

According to police, the suspect may also be responsible for other armed robberies in the Salem area due to the vehicle description.

While officers were still processing the crime scene, a police sergeant on patrol saw a vehicle believed to be involved in one of the robberies in the Salem area.

The sergeant stopped the car in the 4900 block of River Road North and made contact with the driver, Earl Creemedicine, 32.

Investigators arrested Creemedicine for the two robberies at The One Stop Smoke Shop.

Creemedicine was taken to the Marion County Correctional Facility and is charged with two counts of first degree robbery, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, one count of theft in the second degree and one count of menacing.
