PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A teenager from Colombia is getting a prosthetic leg and then some thanks for a man from Oregon.

A spokesperson for Julian David Molina said he lost his leg at a young age after being hit by a bus. Since then, he didn’t let the disability stop him from playing goalie at soccer games or riding bicycles.

Molina posted his progress and experiences on YouTube where Mike Ives saw them and felt compelled to help.

Ives said he helped Molina and his sister come to Shriners Hospital for Children to get the help he needs.

A spokesperson said Molina received a prosthetic leg last month and after the word spread, a local business donated a BMX bike and a representative from Nike came to hear Molina’s story.

Through an interpreter Molina said, “They’ve been giving me a lot of support and I feel really thankful for all of it.”

Molina said he is determined to pursue his dream to become a BMX rider.
