TVF&R crews rescue driver from vehicle that went over embankment

WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Firefighters from Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue responded to a report of a vehicle over and embankment on Southwest Barnes Road near Cedar Hills Boulevard around 7:00 a.m. Thursday.

The first crews on the scene discovered a vehicle had left the roadway and went 90 feet down a steep embankment into brush and blackberry bushes.

There was one person trapped inside the vehicle, and the TVF&R Technical Rescue Team was brought in to assist with the extrication of the person form the vehicle.

After crews used a rope system to bring the patient to the roadway, they were transported to OHSU for treatment.
