SILVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

The Silverton Fire District has designated a special parking area for players of the wildly popular Pokemon GO game due to players blocking in its fire engines.

The fire district said it's seen a big increase in traffic at its main station in Silverton, with people parking in front of engine bays, in the middle of the station driveway and in "firefighter only" parking spaces.

As a result, cars will now only be allowed at the station if they're on official business.

Otherwise, there is parking for Pokemon GO trainers and other members of the public in a grassy area across the street.

Clark County Fire District 6 said earlier this week that it was having similar problems with Pokemon traffic blocking fire engines.

It also posted 'Pokemon parking' signs.
