BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

Community members will gather for a vigil in downtown Beaverton Friday evening in the wake of the recent terror attack in Nice, France.

Officials said a man drove a truck through a large Bastille Day crowd at the waterfront in Nice, France where people gathered to watch fireworks.

The vigil will take place at 5 p.m. across the street from the downtown library.

Governor Brown announced that all flags at Oregon public institutions will be flown at half-staff until July 19.

"My heart is with France," Governor Brown said. "Please keep the people of France in your thoughts as they cope with yet another senseless act of violence."
