PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The test results are in from more Portland Public Schools showing that 20 more buildings have tested for high lead levels this week, some with alarming numbers.

Those buildings include Atkinson, Capitol Hill, Chief Joseph, Alliance at Meek, Columbia, Creative Science School, Creston, Boise-Eliot/Humboldt, Rose City Park, Sunnyside, Sabin, King, Jefferson, Beach, Arleta, Grout, Winterhaven, Vestal and Lane.

At King Elementary School, a faucet in the girls locker room tested at 569 times the federal limit.

At Alliance High School at Meek, a women's bathroom faucet tested at 488 times the limit.

The testing comes after high levels were initially found at several PPS buildings back in May.

PPS is encouraging families who have health concerns to get tested. They are holding lead level screenings at the Blanchard Education Service Center in North Portland Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

PPS plans to hold the screenings each Saturday and Sunday during the summer.

You can register for a time slot through the PPS website.
