OSP searching for suspects in possible assault on Sauvie Island

SAUVIE ISLAND (KPTV) -

The Oregon State Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two men who are suspect in an assault and robbery on Sauvie Island last week.

According to police, sometime between 7:00 p.m. and midnight on July 13 a victim said they were held down by the two men. The victim said the men used pepper spray on them before stealing items from a backpack.

The victim said the incident happened on Walton Beach in the Sauvie Island Wildlife Area.

The two suspected assailants are described as adult, white males in their 20s.

One of the suspects is described as thin with a shaved head, a single cross tattoo under each eye, a large face tattoo, red in color, starting at the left brow and running along the left side of his face with possible additional tattoos on his arms.

The second suspect is described as being approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and husky, with dark hair.

Police are investigating this assault and robbery and ask anyone with information regarding this case to contact Oregon State Police at 503-410-1503.
