A man who police say threw bricks at a home and cars in a Vancouver neighborhood Tuesday evening has been arrested.

According to Vancouver Police, officers went to the 8300 block of MacArthur Boulevard at about 8 p.m. Tuesday to investigate a disturbance.

The initial investigation revealed the suspect for reasons unknown picked up some landscaping bricks from in front of the victim’s home and threw them through a large window, causing the glass to shatter.

A couple adults and kids who were inside said they were watching a movie when bricks suddenly flew through the window. One woman said a 4-year-old was hurt by the glass but is expected to be OK. Police said no one reported injuries other than minor scratches and cuts.

Bricks were also thrown through the windows of cars parked near the victim’s home.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Dadakis Sharry of Vancouver nearby. He was agitated and belligerent toward officers but was taken into custody without further incident.

The people who live in the home said they do not know the man and have no idea why this happened.

"It's been very traumatic for me and my two children," the woman said. "And things like this should never happen and people that are irresponsible and drinking should never, ever put lives in jeopardy like this."

Sharry faces charges of attempted felony assault, felony malicious mischief, and an unrelated warrant and was booked into the Clark County Jail.
