Oregon Garden extends invite to Pokemon GO players

SILVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

The Oregon Garden is taking advantage of the popularity of Pokémon GO to lure people on its 80-acre property. Literally.

The garden will be dropping virtual "lure modules" within the game during a special Pokémon-themed event July 30.

There are more than two dozen PokéStops scattered around the garden as well as two gyms where players can battle one another and garden staff want people to take advantage.

The Fireside Lounge will even be serving up Pokémon-themed cocktails during the event.

Regular admission rates apply. They are:

  • Adults: $14
  • Seniors (60+): $12
  • Students (12-17): $11
  • Children (5-11): $8
  • Children (4 & under): Free
  • Garden Members: Free
  • Military w/ ID: $11
