HILLSBORO, OR (KPTV) -

A cement truck driver died after rolling his truck near Hillsboro.

The crash was reported at 8:17 a.m. Thursday on the 3800 block of Southwest Laurelwood Road. Crews arrived to find a loaded cement truck upside down off a 20-foot embankment.

The Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team determined the truck was headed down a very steep hill and likely lost its brakes.

The truck veered sideways and flipped onto its side, before skidding off the road and down an embankment.

The driver, David Gilbreath, 51, of Molalla, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was working for Molalla Redi Mix.

There is no indication of drugs or alcohol being factors in the crash, according to deputies.
