HILLSBORO, OR (KPTV) -

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man convicted of DUII and hit-and-run after he failed to show up for his sentencing hearing.

Ceferino Santos, 22, was arrested in May after hitting a 13-year-old boy with his car at Southeast River Road and Witch Hazel Road in Hillsboro and driving away from the scene.

Santos was later found after crashing his car into a ditch.

The boy was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.

Santos pleaded guilty to charges of DUII, hit-and-run involving injuries and second-degree criminal mischief on June 27.

He was scheduled to appear in court for a sentencing hearing Thursday, but he did not show up. The judge then issued a warrant for his arrest.
