PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A flight from Seattle to San Diego was diverted to Portland Saturday due to a security concern.

The 58 passengers and 4 crew members on board the plane had to be evacuated and re-screened.

Delta Airlines sent out a statement saying:

Compass Airlines Flight # 5733 operating as Delta Connection from Seattle (SEA) to San Diego (SAN) diverted to Portland (PDX) out of an abundance of caution as a result of a security concern.  The flight landed without incident in Portland at approximately 9:30 a.m. local time where it was met by local authorities. The aircraft and customers are being re-screened. The safety and security of our customers and crew are always our top priority.
