Crews respond to early morning house fire in Clackamas

CLACKAMAS, OR (KPTV) -

Fire crews battled a large house fire in Clackamas early Monday morning.

Clackamas Fire District #1 responded to the blaze at a large home at 14302 SE Summit Dr. just after 5:15 a.m.

Officials said the fire started on the back deck and extended into the house.

Neighbors said they saw the fire and ran to help the family get out of the home. 

Crews were able to contain the fire, but still remained on scene as of 6:30 a.m. Highland Loop and Summit Drive will be closed for at least an hour. 

There are no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is unknown but fire officials said it caused extensive damage to the home.
