PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to a contract extension with guard C.J. McCollum, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

Wojnarowski reported Monday that the deal is a maximum four-year extension worth $106 million. The extension starts in the 2017-2018 season.

McCollum, drafted by Portland in 2013, earned the Kia NBA Most Improved Player Award last season after averaging career highs of 20.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game.

During the offseason, Portland re-signed restricted free agents Allen Crabbe and Meyers Leonard, while also adding free agents Evan Turner and Festus Ezeli.
