CLACKAMAS, OR (KPTV) -

An Amtrak train hit a car in Clackamas on Monday, but there were no reports of any serious injuries.

Firefighters responded to the tracks off Evelyn Street, east of Interstate 205, on Monday afternoon.

Firefighters said the southbound train was going 55 mph when it hit the car.

The driver of the car was crossing over the tracks and apparently didn't see or hear the train, according to firefighters.

Three people were in the car, including a 10-year-old child, but they were not injured.

The train's engineer suffered shoulder pain, but did not require a trip to the hospital.

No other information was immediately available.
