Scott Canyon Fire 100 percent contained, burned more than 33,000 acres

CONDON, OR (KPTV) -

The Scott Canyon Fire is now 100 percent contained and has burned a total of 33,587 acres, according to Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch Center.

The fire started around 12:30 p.m. July 21, and it is burning on Bureau of Land Management and Gilliam County protected lands, and has burned within 200 feet of Highway 206 according to fire officials. 

Fire crews will continue to monitor and secure all lines and begin mop up along the edges.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
