CLARK COUNTY, WA (KPTV) -

Clark County Sheriff's Office said they have responded to three different calls about suspicious bottles in people's yards over the past several days.

CCSO said two of the calls were north of Battle Ground and one in the Orchards area. At each of the calls deputies found what were described as plastic pop bottles with unknown chemicals in them.

CCSO said that they were "pop bottle bombs" that had not ruptured.

Pop bottle bombs are made by mixing two items in the pop bottle that creates pressure causing the bottle to rupture and it creates a loud sound similar to a gun shot.

CCSO said in two of the reports the Portland Metro Explosives Unit responded and rendered the items safe. In the third report, a deputy determined that the bottle was not a danger and disposed of it.

If you have any information about who may be making the pop bottle bombs, please call 911.
