Man accused of murdering woman in southern Oregon

JACKSON COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

A man is facing murder charges in southern Oregon after a woman was found dead inside a home.

Deputies responded to the 400 block of Tumbleweed Trail in the town of Ruch at 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Alexis Lynn Stormo, 23, of Ruch, was found dead in the home. Detectives said she had sustained serious injuries and firearms are not believed to be associated with this case.

Todd Levi Wilcox, 35, of Ruch, was arrested on the charge of murder.

No other details were released by investigators, including a possible motive in this case.

Stormo's family in South Dakota was notified of her death, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

An autopsy is scheduled for this week to determine the cause and manner of her death.
