Another Oregon brewery is being acquired by a beer conglomerate.

Hop Valley Brewing Co., which has breweries in Eugene and Springfield, announced Friday that it is joining MillerCoors.

The Register-Guard reports Tenth and Blake Beer Company, the craft beer division of MillerCoors, will obtain a majority stake in Hop Valley.

In a Facebook post, Hop Valley said the buyout would allow the company to expand its distribution and wouldn't affect its beers, which will still be brewed in Springfield and Eugene.

Hop Valley opened its first brewery and restaurant in Springfield in 2009.

The brewery has since opened a second location in Eugene's Whiteaker neighborhood, just steps from fellow craft brewers Ninkasi and Oakshire.

According to the Register-Guard, the MillerCoors buyout of Hop Valley should be complete in the coming weeks.
