Roof worker taken to hospital after falling through skylight at Beaverton school

BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

A roof worker was taken to the hospital as a trauma patient after falling through a skylight at Highland Park Middle School.

Emergency crews arrived at the Beaverton School at 10:40 a.m. Friday. Firefighters said a man in his 20s was doing roof work on one of the school buildings when he fell through a skylight.

He fell about 15 feet and landed on the floor of the room below.

He was unconscious when firefighters arrived, but he regained consciousness before being taken to the hospital.

He was taken by ambulance to Oregon Health & Science University.

The severity of his injuries was not immediately known.
